Have you ever wanted to build your own custom gaming computer? Building a custom computer is fun, affordable, and empowering. In this hands-on course, you will have the chance to not only learn about computers, but at the same time, learn how to configure and take home your very own custom-built desktop! You will have the opportunity to choose from multiple configurations and learn about the functionality of components including the hard drive, RAM, CPU, video card, and more.
If you’re looking for a great gaming computer, a computer for school, or a computer to edit video on, this is the class for you. Along the way, you will also learn about cyber security, networking, how best to protect your new computer from viruses and malware.
At the end of the class, students will take home their new custom built computer and have a solid understanding of how to upgrade their computer in the future.

Included in the enrollment fee is tuition and all materials listed under various build options.
How long is the class?
The class is broken up into two sessions with each class being 3 hours long.
What is the cancellation policy?
Due to a high cost of software, hardware, staff, and cost of resources, the deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 10 business days before the event. Registration cancellations received prior to the deadline may be eligible to receive a refund less a $75 service fee.
Do I need to have prior PC building experience?
This class requires no previous experience with PC construction or computers. Each student will be provided with their own PC to build based on the budget they selected when choosing the class.
What is a gaming computer?
A gaming computer is a desktop that is often custom-built for the purpose of increasing performance. Modern computer games, such as PLAYER UNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, require an increased graphical and processing power. One of the most significant differences between regular and gaming machines is video processing. Gaming computers have video cards with their own dedicated RAM, processor (GPU) and cooling system, where a typical PC generally uses an on-board graphics controller.
Will i be able to run steam, twitch, Green man gaming, Roblox, minecraft, and other online gaming platforms?
Yes! This is exactly what each of these computers are designed to do. You gaming machine will be optimized to run virtually all gaming platforms and and standalone games.
